Scientific curator, Gothenburg botanical Weston is a postdoc in the Antonelli Lab at the University of Gothenburg interested in understanding the processes underlying patterns of plant diversity at regional and global scales. His current research focuses on understanding how habitat loss is impacting species distributions and driving extinction amongst the vascular plant flora on the island of Hispaniola. An international research team led by Alexandre Antonelli from the University of Gothenburg has now shed new light on answering this long-standing question.
